Intern, Europe/Eurasia Studies
From May to August, 1999, I worked at the US Department of State, National Foreign Affairs Training Center as an Intern in their Europe/Eurasia Studies Department;
Responsibilities: Create the web pages for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Iceland; Created the Ambassadorial Briefing Book for Bosnia-Herzegovina; created the Ambassadorial Briefing Book to Macedonia; recreated the Readers Guide to Romania; created the Readers Guide to Iceland; was a computer consultant to the Area Studies Coordinators at NFATC; edited the Readers Guides to Portugal and the Vatican.
As this was an unpaid internship, I supported myself by working as a Coxswain for the Potomac Rowing Club and as a sales representative at a local Bike Shop around the full-time hours of the internship.
